Child Migrants' Memorial

The Child Migrants' Memorial at Valletta Waterfront was inaugurated in 2008 to commemorate the 310 Maltese children, mostly boys, who traveled to Australia in search of a better life between 1950 and 1965.

The monument, in the form of a paper boat, was designed by architects Rune Jacobson and David Drago. It is located at the Valletta Waterfront's marina close to Customs House from where the children had embarked on their life-altering voyage.

The memorial is open for interpretations which makes it accessible to almost anyone.
